Biodiversity, ecosystem services and natural resources

Forward thinking of this research group can be understood as the product of a social and intellectual context.

The social context is an increasingly acute citizen perception of environmental issues: climate change, pollution, biodiversity loss, anticipating difficulties in access to water resources, major environmental risks and disruptions of ecosystem services, management nuclear waste ...

The intellectual context is that of a scientific community renews its thinking frameworks: (i) to better understand and predict behavioral phenomena, in particular by means of a rapprochement with the concepts and methods of psychology very important in the analysis of choices which the human-nature relations; (ii) to sophisticate its normative component. Long been concerned primarily with the objective of efficiency, economy taking increasing and explicit questions of justice and equity in its objects of study.
